Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I always try to do my part for awareness month. You know, inform, check, wear as much pink as I own, and all that 'hype' business. I wish I had a lot more money and was the first to think of having a bake sale this year to donate money to help find the cure, but I wasn't and I don't have much money. So, I do what I can. This year, I got asked if I can donate some cupcakes for a fundraiser that is happening tonight at a local high school. I of course said yes. Many don't know this, but breast cancer runs in my family, and I am at a higher risk than the usual 21 year old, because of that. I feel it was a right thing to do, also, maybe I will be able to get out there more. You know it never hurts to get new customers.. Not many people know what a vegan cupcake is and they also don't know that they exist, well, it seems like that in the central valley. Most, probably think a vegan cupcake can't taste as great as a traditional cupcake, but that's not true. I am here to show the people of the world, that vegan cupcakes are delicious, amazing, and the fucking best. Yeah, I said it. For this I donated three dozens of cupcakes (not much) but she was asking for less, why not, I squeezed money out from my pocket, and BAM! Peanut Butter Bombs, Funfett, and vanilla/vanilla/pink cupcakes are going to be there for sale. I unfortunately won't be able to be there, because I have a night class to attend. I am still just as happy to do them and donate them since I'm kind of in a rough patch right now (financially and such), but it's all worth it. Knowing I did something this year and this month. Get stoked because I know I am. I hope this spreads the word and they sell out and people open their minds to vegan cupcakes, and vegan things in general. Hopefully pictures will be taken and I will get a hold of some of them. I just want to know things went well. That's all, :).

Here are a couple of stay sweet related things. An interview from my school newspaper and Stay Sweet's facebook page.

Lemonhead

Ever wonder why lemon head candy was invented? I don't, I just know they are good until the roof of your mouth starts to hurt. That probably doesn't happen to you, but I know it sure happens to me. That is why I don't eat them a whole lot. Well, back to why this is even the topic. I like lemons not to the point where I have to eat one every day its just sometimes they make food taste better. They also make good for lemonade, tea, and are best at giving you pain with you have small paper cuts on your fingers. Lemons are great. For a cupcake they make me wonder why there are not more lemon related cupcakes on this blog. I don't know I will ask myself that until I have a good honest answer. So, this time I took out my baking supplies and went ahead and busted out the lemons, lemon heads and started and when I was done this was the outcome of all things lemon. Simple, delicious, and full of flavor.

Peanut Butter Jealously...

Yes, be jealous because you are not enjoying this cupcake. Get others jealous when this cupcake is all yours and they can't do anything about it, but stare at it wishing it was about to enter their mouths...instead of yours..

Here is a cupcake that I have been getting request from random people and I just didn't know how to approach the idea. Its hard enough to just decide on a certain recipe let alone make up another one and go with that. So, by this time I had been asked over and over again and I felt it was time to go ahead and make another one. I got tired of taking repeats to shows and selling them. I want to give people a variety and I want them to know I am capable of more flavors and cupcakes. I kind of brought this upon myself I asked what people wanted to buy for the next show and sure enough peanut butter and jelly was part of that request. So, here it is.

Peanut butter cake, famous peanut butter frosting, and jelly (Strawberry!). I didn't get any negative feedback, so I guess I'll leave this recipe alone until I do.

Couch Potatoes get stoked!

Now you can have your usual couch potato snacks all in one single cup and you don't even have to get up to grab more chips or more sweets its all right there in that sweet individual cake cup like snack. Yeah, I answered your prayers, and I am the queen lord of cupcakes and everything you ever imagined, but how I hate the stage potatoes at shows I hate a couch potato more....so don't ask me to marry you if this is your cupcake....or if you're a stage potato
I didn't actually come up with this idea at all. It was not my original idea so I should not and do not want to take credit for it, But I did come up with the veganized cupcake instead of a 'traditional' cupcake. So, if you want to give me credit for that I'll take it. :) I found this recipe while surfing the net, yeah, I like to look at blogs, cupcakes, recipes, and cupcake related things online, judge me. I was excited and surprise to come across this recipe, I don't remember where I found it or how I found it I just did. So, I can't direct you or point you in the direction of the creator, sorry. I apologize. I can however give you this picture and the cupcake itself.
First of all, I know this isn't the best combination and I know this isn't the best option. I just thought it was a fun recipe and idea to test out. Of course I'm not going to say hey eat one of these all day everyday fucker and get sick. I might say try one so you know how the flavors combine. Sweet, salty, and such a weird combination. I think this cupcake is really whole love it or hate it cupcake. Its not a cupcake everyone will enjoy. I know that. If you bite into it and realize that this was the missing piece to your life puzzle then you're welcome, but if you bite into it and want to immediately want to split it out then at least you tried it. And you can still brag to your girlfriend/boyfriend, friends, people you meet, and your family members about how you tried a potato chip cupcake once...and it was even vegan...
